Spring is coming to Berkeley and so is the Himalayan Fair! We are planning, full speed ahead, for the fair’s return on MAY 21 and 22, 2022. We are so excited and cannot wait to again be with our beloved Himalayan Fair community. We have missed you and are so thrilled to be back!
For over three decades the Himalayan Fair has presented a rich mix of crafts, food and entertainment celebrating the people and cultures of the Himalayan region. For those of you who especially treasure the music and dance performances, here is a list of some featured artists:
Dholrhythms Dance Company, with their lively and popular Bhangra dance
Chaksampas, Tibetan dance and opera company
Ferhan Qureshi, classical music of India and Pakistan
Jyoti Kala Mandir, classical Odissi dance

Tsering Dorjee Bawa and group
We are extremely grateful to those of you who have supported our Go Fund Me campaign to Save the Himalayan Fair. As you may know, we were forced by extraordinary circumstances to cancel the fair in 2019, 2020 and 2021. Because of the pandemic, especially, we are faced with increased expenses and probable reduced revenue. As a result, we are still seeking to raise additional funds to produce this year‘s fair.
We are reaching out to our wide community to help us resolve this obstacle to ensure that we can gather with you again in joyous celebration of the cultures of the Himalayan region.
